We really enjoyed our time at The Akeman. We were a bit early for our booking but they kindly prepped a table anyway. The food was delicious - especially the starters. The pizza oven went down very well with the children. Would definitely come back. Thank you for looking after us so well.
Popped into here on a Saturday afternoon for a spot of lunch. We had no reservation, but they were able to find space and seat us quickly. The menu has good options for being healthy and bar staples. We had a garlic bread with mozzarella cheese to start; super delicious!
Four of us dined. Two of us had an appointment nearby, so time was of an essence. We were served quickly and able to have two courses in quick time. The other two of us stayed on to chat and wait for our friends to come back from their appointment. We are all later joined by our friends. We felt no pressure to move on. The food was good, decent veggie options and meat options. Unfortunately the pizza was off because of proposed oven maintenance the next day. The Akeman has a large seated area inside, with additional seating outside.
Both times we have been here it has been lovely. Once was lunchtime menu, 2nd time evening meal. Both times food and staff were great. Definitely is a eatery we will be regularly frequenting. Thank you to our waiter Peter, super service and the birthday suprise dessert was a lovely touch.
Just had the best lunch! The food was absolutely outstanding—especially the Pollo Picante, which was a game-changer even with gluten-free pasta. Our server, Ruby, was fantastic; she really engaged with the kids and made sure we had everything we needed. The atmosphere was lively, and the cleanliness of the venue was spot on. Can't wait to go back and enjoy another meal, especially if Ruby’s there to serve us!
A popular pub in a central location in Tring, came for lunch (booked a table) on Saturday with 2 friends. The service was friendly and staff were welcoming and efficient. The food was of good quality with generous portions. We did wait for 40 minutes from arrival to food being served. Overall nice atmosphere, does get busy but it wasn't too loud or crowded.

Very speedy to get seated, order drinks and for food to arrive. Really lovely interior and friendly staff. Food is great and they have a wood fire oven right there in the kitchen.
